About NBA
The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) was set-up in September 1994 by the AICTE to assess the qualitative competence of the programs offered by technical and AICTE approved professional educational institutions. NBA came into existence as an independent autonomous body with effect from January 2010 with the objectives of assurance of quality and relevance to technical education.
Outcome based education is targeted at achieving desirable outcomes (in terms of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviour) at the end of a program. NBA aligned its methodology with international benchmarks and started accreditation on the basis of outcomes.
PICT has been participating in the accreditation process since 2001. PICT established a methodical outcome based education (OBE) system and has been following the system rigorously. Two of our three undergraduate programs Computer Engineering and E&TC department have been NBA accredited for six times since 2001. Another UG program Information Technology has been NBA accredited for four times since 2004.
All UG programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) upto 30/06/2025.
